Howdy!
Let me just say, it has been a wild six weeks since Tornado Ally came out! I initially was not planning on doing any in-person events, signings, etc, but I am thankful that a friend talked me into it because it has been an amazing experience!
I have been fortunate to be working with quite a few bookstores here in Oklahoma to do signings and stock copies of my book. I wanted to make a list so that these amazing shops do not get lost in the social media shuffle. Without further ado, here are all of the places that stock Tornado Ally!
Love Stories OKC
As the name suggests, this bookstore is located in the OKC area! This romance-only bookstore is inside of The Formal Niche, a bridal and prom dress shop. The exact address is 3812 N MacArthur Blvd, Warr Acres, OK 73122. The vibes are cozy, fluffy, and welcoming! There are plenty of areas to do a photo op or sit and read. :)
Full Circle Books
This bookstore is located in OKC as well! It has a sophisticated vibe, with a little coffee area inside, as well as ladders lining the bookshelves. The exact address is 1900 Northwest Expy, Oklahoma City, OK 73118.
Second Story Books
Second Story Books is located in OKC and the exact address is 718 Culbertson Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73105. This bookstore is perfect for those with children and plant-lovers. It is whimsical, with a scavenger hunt available to play and engaging decor. If you make a trip here, it is a good idea to call ahead and make sure the book is in stock. I’ve been once to restock already. :)
The Lore
The Lore is located in Norman, the exact address is 220 S Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. It is not just a bookstore, it has EVERYTHING! Truly, it is a trap for anyone who has any kind of hobby. They have yarn, guitar picks, notebooks, etc! I did not escape unscathed when I visited.
I will be there this Saturday, October the 19th, signing books from 4pm-8pm.
Knight’s Nook
Knight’s Nook is located in Yukon at 401 W Main St, Yukon, OK 73099 and recently celebrated its opening! This bookstore has a lot of natural lighting, a comfortable place to sit, and a very tempting basket of book stickers… It’s adorable and the owners are lovely!
A Novel Idea Bookshop
This bookstore is located in downtown Guthrie at 116 W Oklahoma Ave, Guthrie, OK 73044. It has a very moody, dark academia vibe in my opinion which was really cool! The owner is very sweet. :) There is a little area outside where you can sit that looks very inviting, especially with the weather becoming a little more bearable around here.
Blushing Books
Have you ever done a book deal in a parking lot? After this week, I can say I have! It was a lot of fun, haha! The Blushing Books ladies are super sweet. Blushing Books is a mobile bookstore (how cool is that?), so I can’t give you an address. But I can tell you that I’ll be at Scissortail Park Night Market with them signing books on November 8th from 5:30pm-10pm!
